Introduction / Proposed release scope

Build worlds.
Understand the network.

Riftworks brings game infrastructure, persistent worlds, and player connections into one operating platform for Hytale network builders.

This guide describes the product direction from specification v1.1. It is not an installation guide for a released runtime. Commands, compatibility guarantees, and pricing will be documented with validated releases.

Rift Core

From a persistent survival world to a fleet of short-lived matches. Bring your machines, define your templates, and shape the capacity your network needs.

  • Machines, templates, and fleet lifecycle
  • Persistent worlds and snapshot workflows
  • Match allocation and ready capacity

Rift Guard

Give your staff the right tools and the right scope. Bring player records, moderation, and admission policies into the same network context.

  • Network-scoped player records and reports
  • Staff roles and scoped permissions
  • Auditable moderation and admission policy

Operating model

An operator enrolls a machine, publishes a template, and creates a fleet or persistent world. The Director coordinates placement and capacity. The agent manages the local runtime; the bridge confirms game readiness. The proxy owns player connections and backend switches.

A running process is not automatically ready for players. Admission depends on game-level readiness and a usable private proxy route. Operations report progress through durable records.

Machine → Template → Fleet or world
Director → Agent → Runtime + Bridge
Player → Proxy → Private backend

Software pricing has not been finalized. Customer compute is separate, including capacity held ready with no players. Production support is tied to tested combinations of Hytale, proxy, bridge, runtime, and game-plugin releases.
